Last Friday 27th April ,the club were honoured to host an evening with Warren Gatland. With over 130 guests in attendance the evening proved to be hugely successful. Included amongst the guests were three of the club's Lions, namely Delme Thomas, Roy Bergiers and Ken Owens.
In a 'Q & A' format, Warren Gatland was posed many a difficult question by the audience present, which he answered in a knowledgable and professional manner. The evening's compere, Eleri Sion was first class throughout and as well as a superb deliverer of the questions, she provided humour and order throughout.
On similar occasions the club has hosted guest speakers from the international rugby community, such as: Buck Shelford, the late Gordon Brown, Dean Richards, Gerald Davies & Adam Jones, and will endeavour to invite more rugby icons to the club in the future.
As well as thoroughly enjoyable evenings, they are a vital source of fund raising for the club.
