Many congratulations to Athletic President Delme Owens for being the recipient of: 'for services to sport' award at yesterday's Sports Aid Cymru Wales fund raising lunch.
The west Wales branch of SACW chaired by Dave Butler, regularly hosts fund raising lunches in Carmarthen and yesterday's event was held at the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel. The guest speaker was former Ospreys, Wales & Lions full back Lee Byrne.
Sports Aid cymru Wales is a voluntary organisation providing financial support to help rising stars in Wales improve their performance, with the aim that they go onto represent Wales and Great Britain with distinction.
Delme & his company Carmarthenshire Tyre Services has for many years supported sport in west Wales, and this award is recognition of his dedication to helping individuals & organisations achieve their goals.
