Friday 6^th October – 7pm  EDDIE LEW’S 80^th BIRTHDAY BASH!

Come along to celebrate with one of the club’s most popular characters. Former player Edward Lewis is about to become an octogenarian. He will be thrilled to see you all and will no doubt share many of his legendary anecdotes of his time over many years at the club.

Sunday 8^th October – 1pm  THE ‘HOOKERS’LUNCH!  Admission by ticket £7.50

A special buffet lunch for MEMBERS ONLY to commemorate & honour the achievements of ‘2’ of the club’s former players: KEN OWENS for captaining the British & Irish Lions during the 2017 tour to New Zealand and RYAN ELIAS for winning his first Welsh senior cap against Tonga at Eden Park, Auckland on 16^th June 2017.  Presentations will be made, special guests in attendance and a Q&A session. This is an all ticket affair available on a first come basis. Tickets are available from Brian Powell on 07885 843677. Dress code No. ‘2’ (smart casual).

Friday 10^th November – 7pm  40^th MEMORIAL ANNIVERSARY EVENING

On the 23^rdNovember it is 40 years since the tragic car accident which sadly took the lives of four members from us. In 1977, Club captain Howard Parry, club hooker Brian Jenkins, Swansea & former club No 8 Phil Davies and club committee man & Carmarthen County RFC selector Benny Lewis were returning from a county game at Ystradgynlais when their car was involved in a fatal collision with a calor gas lorry on Nant y caws hill. The lorry driver, Roger Goodried from Neath was also killed. Each year the club plays a memorial match on Boxing Day to pay homage to the memory of our much missed members. Because of the significance of this year’s anniversary we will also commemorate the occasion with this special dignified evening to honour their memory.
