The Covid-19 Pandemic scuppered all our special 75th Anniversary plans, including functions at the clubhouse and a celebration dinner at the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel. In addition, our tour to Gibraltar was also cancelled.
Souvenir tour shirts were produced for the mediterranean adventure, and they will now be presented to each tour member at a special post virus function at the clubhouse. The red polo shirts feature the club crest underlined with 1944-2019 on the left breast with tour details on the right breast. The Welsh flag & Olorun logo are embroided on the sleeves (as shown by our professional male model).
In the years to come, can you imagine what a talking point that would be - The tour that never was! Kids would ask 'What was that trip like Dad? was it a nice place to visit and play rugby?' 2020 will certainly be remembered as a time when the whole world came to a halt and normality was a surreal experience.
We can all look forward to be reunited with family & friends when this crisis is finally over, until that time please look after yourselves and stay safe!
