Despite a valiant effort in the final test against South Africa, it was heartbreaking as the Lions succumbed to a late penalty, losing the game 19 - 16, and the series 2 - 1.
It was another bruising affair in the three match series where so many players put their bodies on the line. As a Club, we are particularly proud of the involvement of two former Youth players, Ken Owens & Josh Adams. Both were selected to the starting XV and contributed very well to the Lions efforts on the field.
Since winning his first cap in 2011, Ken has now amassed a total of 87 caps (82 for Wales and 5 for the British & Irish Lions). He scored the Lions only try of the game from a driving maul platform.
Since making his debut in 2018, Josh has totalled 33 test caps (32 for Wales and 1 for the British & Irish Lions). He was Rugby World Cup's record try scorer in Japan 2019 and scored 8 tries on the Lions tour of South Africa 2021.
The future is bright for Ken & Josh, and we wish them continued success at the highest level.
