We are today saddened to hear of the passing of legendary motor racing driver, Sir Stirling Moss aged 90.
He was regarded as the greatest driver never to have won the World Championship. He followed his father Alfred (who raced from 1929 onwards) into the exciting & dangerous world of motor racing and had a fantastic career which included 16 Formula 1 wins in 66 races, and 212 overall wins from 529 races.
We are proud and privileged to display a pair of Sir Stirling's racing shoes in our museum of sporting memorabilia at the clubhouse.
Rest in Peace.
