WRU Specsavers National League Div 2 West
ATHLETIC 23 BURRY PORT 24
The Red & Blacks welcomed undefeated league leaders Burry Port to Athletic Park. After a narrow 19-25 at Memorial Park in the first game of the season, the home side were keen to halt the visitors superb winning run and reverse the September result.
However, Athletic fell just short in a physical and competitive tussle. Momentum was once again on the side of the Blacks as their defence held firm to the final whistle. Credit to both sides for the commitment shown in an enthralling contest which was a credit to grassroots rugby.
Athletic scorers: Matt Evans (try), Tom Gravell (try, 2 conversions & 3 penalties)
