AWJ's boots added to our collection

We are delighted to add the boots of World Rugby's most capped player to our collection at our Museum of Sporting Memorabilia.

Wales Captain Alun Wyn Jones presented his playing boots after the Grand Slam showdown in Paris on Saturday 20th March 2021. Although the Dragons came agonisely close to completing a clean sweep, only to see France score a winning try in the 82nd minute, making the final score 32-30. Wales were however confirmed Guinness Six Nations Champions a week later after Scotland's heroic victory over the same hosts six days later.

Since making his International debut in 2006, Alun Wyn has made 148 appearances for his country (equalling All Blacks flanker Richie McCaw's test appearances for New Zealand). In addition, he has made 9 consecutive test appearances for the British & Irish Lions (2009, 2013 & 2017) taking his total Rugby Test appearances to 157.
