Saturday, 21st August 2021 will go down as a milestone occasion for the Morse family.
Club stalwart & former 1st XV & Druids Captain Steve Morse took to the field for the last ten minutes for the Druids friendly at Burry Port yesterday.
This act in itself was not surprising, as the evergreen lock forward has often helped out the Druids, if needed, despite his 'veteran' status. However, this was a special occasion for Steve as he joined his two sons Morgan & Joseff on the field of play.
To be able to say that you played rugby with your sons is a very rare feat, very special and will live long in the memory for the entire Morse family.
It was the Druids first game for some 19 months, and the young contingent of players (except 'The Vet at the end'!) many making their senior debuts, secured a 9 - 17 away win against Burry Port 2nd XV.
