A notable scalp was taken in the All Wales Sport On Line Pool 8 tonight. We welcomed Cardiff RFC to the virtual Athletic Park in our fourth outing of the championship and 'played' a blinder to move us up to second in the division.
Our illustrious opponents were first out of the blocks and scored a well worked corner try in the opening ten minutes. The Red & Blacks hit back with a converted try to lead 7-5 at the interval.
The homesters dominated the second half and added two further tries, a penalty & a drop goal. Cardiff scored a late try which was converted to make the final score 23-12. Our second win elevates us to second place a point behind the leaders.
On Saturday, we travel to mid Wales to play Newtown RFC, 5 pm kick off.
