The renovations of the Friars Suite at the Clubhouse were completed today. New bench seating has been fitted along the pitch side wall to enhance the comfort experience of members and visitors alike.
Together with new carpet and bucket seats, our lounge room is ready for our re-opening on Saturday 22nd May.
During this most frustrating (but necessary) closure due to the Pandemic, we have taken advantage of inactivity to carry out many tasks at Athletic Park.
In addition to the usual annual maintenance of property, flood lighting and playing areas, we have carried out painting & decorating at the Clubhouse and office/changing rooms block. Full refurbishment of the Fitness Suite with state of the art weights & apparatus. New upholstered bench seating in the Ystrad Lounge (function room), a new Worcester Bosch boiler in the Clubhouse. A concrete plinth added to the outer perimeter of our 60 x 40 metre Indoor Training Facility.
The combined investment is substantial. However, we are confident that we face a brighter & better future and our efforts provide the best possible facilities for our members.
